Arts de Musique Studio is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 — the Data Privacy Act of 2012. This policy explains how we collect, process, and safeguard your information within our management system.

Arts de Musique Studio ("ADM Studio", "we", "our", or "us") is a music education institution based in the Philippines. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data collected, processed, and stored through the ADM Studio Management System, which covers Administrators, Teachers, Students, and individuals who submit Booking requests.

How We Use Your Personal Data

  • Creating and managing user accounts and system access
  • Scheduling and managing lessons between teachers and students
  • Tracking student enrollment and managing course offerings
  • Recording and monitoring attendance
  • Calculating and processing teacher payroll and compensation
  • Reviewing and responding to booking and enrollment inquiries
  • Maintaining system security via OTP-based account protection and login monitoring
  • Communicating with teachers, students, and prospective enrollees
  • Complying with our legal and regulatory obligations

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable Philippine law.

  • Active user account data is retained for the duration of the user's relationship with ADM Studio.
  • Lesson, attendance, and payroll records are retained for a minimum of five (5) years for administrative and legal compliance purposes.
  • Booking data is retained for a reasonable period after review, whether accepted or rejected.
  • Upon account deactivation, associated records may be anonymized or retained per legal obligations.

Sharing & Disclosure

ADM Studio does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may disclose your data only in the following circumstances:

  • To authorized ADM Studio staff who require access to perform their duties
  • To government authorities, regulators, or law enforcement when required by law or court order
  • In the event of a corporate restructuring or merger, with prior notice to data subjects as required by the DPA
  • To third-party service providers (e.g., hosting) under data processing agreements ensuring DPA compliance

Data Security

ADM Studio implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encrypted storage of passwords using industry-standard hashing
  • Account lockout after repeated failed login attempts
  • OTP-based verification for account unlock and password reset
  • Role-based access controls (admin, teacher, student)
  • Secure infrastructure and access controls for server environments

In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected data subjects and the National Privacy Commission in accordance with the DPA and its implementing rules.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights:

Sensitive Personal Information

Certain data we collect — including date of birth, sex, and home address — may qualify as sensitive personal information under the DPA. We process such data only to the extent necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy and apply heightened protection to this information.

Data of Minors

Arts de Musique Studio may enroll students who are minors (below 18 years of age). Personal data of minors is processed with the consent of their parents or legal guardians, who are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the data submitted. Parents and guardians may exercise the rights of data subjects on behalf of enrolled minors.

Cookies and Technical Data

The System may use session cookies or similar technologies to maintain user sessions and enhance usability. These do not collect personal data beyond what is necessary for authentication and session management. Configuring your browser to reject cookies may affect your ability to use the System.

ADM Studio reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements.
